2001-09-15 - 10:27 p.m. I saw the most amazing thing today. Around this time year, some states in the south remember "Trail of Tears". If you don't know it the trail Cherokee Indians were taken on in 1800's to move them to Oklahoma. Every year, for I am not sure long, people on motorcycles ride the trail. They came through town today. I took some pictures and was impressed by this. As well as I saw motorcycles that had american flags on them to people having american flags on helmets and clothes. It was like we are remembering indians who first on this land as well as being America. Oh, my sister did get back to Boston. Her friend was in the city and offered to drive her home. Though he has to go back to NYC/NJ right away. He is in the reserve and got called. It seems so scary when it someone you know. You know I should not talk about this, but my ex just joined the Air Force. He is in Texas as we speak doing boot camp. It will be good for him, but I afraid what if we go to war? Will he and my sister's friend have to go fight? That thought has crossed my mind, but I try not to think about it. luv ya, Dara |
